Poznań fresk

           There is a part of Poznań called Śródka. It is one of the oldest parts of the city, and used to be a small settlement before it become a part of Poznań. 

In recent years Poznań is trying to revitalize Śródka. A lot of construction work is going on, new houses are being built using old designs, and many new cute restaurants are opening there. 

Some time ago a beautiful painting was done on the wall of one of the tenants houses. It is a 3D painting of the neighbourhood . Look and see :)

Amsterdam

          Since I saw "The fault in our stars" I wanted to see Amsterdam and the places which the characters from the book and the movie visited. So this vacation I dedided to visit Amsterdam and see everything for myself :)

The weather was good for the first two days. Then it was rain and sun, rain and sun. Apparently, that is normal out there.

The architecture in Amsterdam is amazing. During my one week stay I have not seen an ugly building anywhere. Everything was just perfect. There is a lot of small streets there accommodating shops, food places, little cafes, red-light district and of course coffeeshops.

My budget was not large, so I had to choose to what places I wanted to go carefully. I wanted to see Anne Frank House (two hours in line - but so worth it) and I decided to go to the Resistance Museum as well. It seemed to make a nice whole. The last day I visited the Amsterdam Museum and find out a bit more about the city.

Apart from museums there are canals. Everywhere. No wonder that Amsterdam is called second Venice. You can walk along the water admire boats, canoes and houseboats. Amazing and romantic.

Starfish

           I like starfish. They are beautiful animals :)

Soon I will be decorating my new bathroom and I always wanted to have a sea like one. That is why I decided to make some decoration details, which I could place in the bathroom.

I started with a big starfish but I am also planning to make small tiles, which I can place as a decor around the bathroom.

The fault in our stars

          As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts I was waiting to see the movie "The fault in our stars".

I was a bit afraid to see the movie because I liked the book so much (and listened to it for many times). 

But I needn't have been worried, because the movie had turned out great.

The actors, thought young, managed, in my opinion, to convey the message of the book. There was a great chemistry between Shailene Woodley (as Hazel Grace) and Ansel Elgort (as Augustus Waters) with beautiful play from the supporting actors Willem Dafoe (Peter van Houten), Nat Wolff (Isaac), Laura Dern (Frannie Lancaster), Sam Trammell (Michael Lancaster), Lotte Verbeek (Lidewij Vliegebthart) and off course - Amsterdam. 

I was really touched by their performance and bringing the characters from the book to live. 

Lemon tree

           The time has come for experiments. I like to have new plants in my house and I always wanted to plant a lemon tree. So a few days ago I put some lemon seeds in the slightly damp ground and - voila. Already some green is starting to show.
