Saturday Night Live

           Where do I begin? :)

I started watching Saturday Night Live back in 2002 when I was in US. I had no idea what it was back then. I just happened to stumble on it one day when I was jumping channels and looking for something interesting to watch.

In 2003 I went for a tour around NBC studio and one of the places we visited was the studio where they make SNL. Again I had no idea what it was back then.

I watched many episodes of SNL in the States. Just randomly whenever it was on TV.

In 2015 i remembered that show (no idea why) and I started to watch it on YouTube. Anything I could find. And I was amazed. So many great comedians, writers and performers were a part on SNL for so many years (they have just celebrated their 40th anniversary).

What an great show, all live, all funny and entertaining. What an inspiring tradition for more comedians to follow.

I cannot choose my favorite performers. There are so many. But I have to mention a few :)

                  1. Bill Hader and Kristen Wigg - my absolute favorites

           2. Will Ferrell - hilarious
                  3. Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis - the sweetest
           4. Chris Kattan and Cheri Oteri - my favorite characters when I started watching SNL
                  5. Jimmy Fallon and Andy Samberg - the hottest
           6. Will Forte - no words

Supernatural

             Supernatural - one of the best TV series ever made. I don't know why it is so great (Dean of course) but it is as good now (when I am watching it again from the beginning for the second time) as it was all the way back in 2005 when I watched for the first time. Only then I had to wait all week to see it and now I can watch the whole season in two days (with a little break for my work). 

I cannot decide who is my favorite character (Dean of course) because they are all so great, complex, funny and entertaining. Every episode brings something new and the whole series is well connected by Dean and Sam, who not only are the main characters but also the soul of the show. 

Additionally, when you think that the series starts to settle then a new character is introduced. We have John Winchester, Bobby, Ellen and Jo, Ruby, Crowley, The devil and of course Castiel - (:  

Ok. I am going back to watching now.

The Big Bang Theory

          I don't watch sitcoms very often because I prefere movies. However, once in a while I get sucked into one and I get curious about how the story develops. And so it was with "The Big Bang Theory".

        The story revolves around four guys: Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj and a girl Penny. 

       Leonard and Sheldon are roomates, who one day meet their new neighbour Penny. Leonard takes to her immediately. Later Penny is introduced to Howard (a sex maniac) and Raj (a very shy guy who cannot talk to women). All the guys are very smart scientists, who do research in various fields and work at the university.

       Penny becomes a friend of the boys and teaches them quite a lot about real life. They teach her about comic books,computer games and movies. In later episodes we meet Amy (who starts going out with Sheldon) and Bernadette (Howard's girlfriend and later wife).

       The sitcom is very funny and the subject (the scientists) is quite different from all other sitcoms there are.

Little Britain

               I am not a big fan of TV series and apart from maybe three I have not seen a whole series ever. However, after seeing bits and pieces of Little Britain I decided to watch everything just to find out if all of them were good and as funny as the pieces I saw. I must say that most of them were.

                Even when you don't appresiate the humor and all the skits which David Walliams and Matt Lucas do you have to appreciate the nerve they have. If I try to imagine such series in my country about my country man I samohow doubt it would work. Maybe British people have more distance to themselves or better sense of humor.

                  and many more. Lucas and Walliams do all the characters themselves. Their transformations are amasing and fun. I know that the show has been accused of being racist and homophobic but I don't think so. We have to remember that the characters have to be colored in order to make them more memorable and noticable. Enjoy !!!
